As a healer I feel that it is important to have a page where I give our community information on spiritual things. Nothing too detailed just simple things that we should all know.
I'll start with protection: We should all protect ourselves when we are going into the world - so to speak. We should all be aware that there is a war going on on so many levels and we are in it whether we like it or not. For many this means nothing at all but for some this is serious.Their are many ways that this can be done.
Protection with smudge stick.
If you have a White sage smudge stick you can run the smoke of the White sage through your aura. This will cleanse the aura of any old negative energy that you may of picked up along your travels and help with the first stage of the protection process. You then visualize white light or gold light surrounding you and that you are locked in this light.
Protection with Crystals.
As we should know crystals are on a higher vibration to us(as we are at a very low vibration at present) therefore it would be to our advantage to carry crystals with us for protection. If you choose to carry them in your pocket/s I would advise that you carry a grounding crystal like Carnelian, Malachite, Hemitite, Tourmaline ( Black) etc in your right pocket and a feminie spiritual crystal in your left pocket like Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Angelite, Tanzanite etc.
I would just like to make a note on Cleansing Crystals as I have been asked about this many times.
To cleanse crystals you need to put the crystals you need cleansed into a glass or something made of clear glass. Cover the crystals with water - DO NOT ADD SALT - Put the glass where the sun rises in your home. Leave for either 7, 12 or 24 hours making sure that 5am is included in those hours. When you take them out of the glass run then under a cold tap for about 10 mins. Then programme them with a bell. Strike the bell once for a connection with you and your crystals. Second time for connection and thanks for you, the crystal and our ancestors then the third strike for you, the crystals, our ancestors and the absolute. Then your finished your crystals can now be carried or put in your home.
Another way to cleanse crystals is with a pendulum. Call me for details on how this works.
Cleansing Baths.
We at war....There is spiritual warfar going on at all times and we are in the battle field. So cleansing baths should be a must for all of us. Their are many Herbs that cleanse us both spiritually and physically. These herbs cleanse different forms of negativity.
For a general cleansing bath use one of the following herbs or even a combination of a few: White sage - one of the strongest cleansers of negativity. Close second is Rosemary, Cedar is another, Sea Salt & Juniper. These can also be burned in your home to cleanse your space.
I make up Baths for different forms of negativity caused, I also make herbal incense for your home.
Douching
I would like to say something about female Douching. Many years ago our mothers and great grand mother used to douch on a regular basis.
What is Herbal Douching???? Herbal Douching is a form of cleansing, many of our afrikan sistas today still douch. How do I Douch???? To Douch you would need a bowl and Douching/cleansing herbs. You would boil some water in a kettle and pour it into the bowl let the herbs steep in the boiling water for about 3-5 mins then you would sit over it with a towel acorss your lap for about 20-30 mins.
Why would I want to douch???? Douching cleanses on both the physical and the spiritual levels. On both levels, used within a care plan, it can help with problems such as fybroids, Heavy periods, cysts, ( Which come from Trapped emotional Feelings) Rape, Mis-carriage, Abortion( These things are a traumatic shock & Intrusion to our being and female energy) and many other problems of a female nature. No Cleansing is being done, no spiritual healing either.
Many of our women today suffer greatly with many of the problems listed. I have personnally helped many woman with such problems and include a Herbal douch in my care plan.
I Make Herbal douches to your personal needs. After assessing your total situation I taylor make your herbal Douch as well as any other herbal preparations you may need.
N.B. if sitting over a bowl is not your thing then you can sit in a shallow bath and get similar if not the same effect.
Burning incense
Many of us burn incense to get rid of unwanted smells in our home. Many of us burn incense to cleanse our home. While many burn incense and don't really know what they are doing but burn them any way cause it makes them and their home feel at peace.
ok - Firstly let me just give you my take on the incense burning thing....
I do not and would not advise you to burn incense sticks. If you can get the pure gum or resin of the scent you require that would be better. Likewise if you can get the pure herb, flower, Root or bark that too would be better. On Charcoal in an incense burner.
Just remember when burning incense, wether it's for cleansing, healing, Libation or a particular ritual, you are sending out a ritual offering to the Ancestors and the creator so it should be as pure as possible. It also re-inforces your connection with nature and has an effect on all things so should not be taken lightly.
